Kansurok: An Appeal for Help

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As some of you may already know, I am involved in Kansurok Mission Team – a church planting and community transformation project reaching out to the people of Kansurok in Marinduque.

Kansurok is a small town, situated in an isolated part of Tugos, Boac Marinduque where access to immediate care, necessities, education and even spiritual awareness are limited. People have to cross nine rivers and half-an-hour walk to get to the nearest primary school or marketplace everyday.

In 2008 and 2009, I was blessed to be given the opportunity to serve the people of Kansurok through Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS), creating a Christian awareness and doing community service in the area.

God has offered another opportunity for me to serve Him as the group is going to visit Kansurok again on May 21-26 to continue His ministry. The team will continue to reach out to the people in other parts of Kansurok and will continue to share the good news of salvation through DVBS and feeding program. While God has opened a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people, you too may also be part of this mission by giving your time in prayer that God will bless our team as we minister to His people in Kansurok or you may donate your old books, toys, school supplies or monetary help to be used for all the activities in this mission. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer or both, all your support is very much appreciated.

May we have a heart to serve others as the Bible reminds us “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21

May our good Lord continue to shower you with His abundance!
